Let’s talk about SEMA—the world’s premier specialty equipment trade event. First held in 1967 in the basement of Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, the event now draws the hottest automotive products to the Las Vegas Convention Center, as well as 3,000 members of the media, 2,300 exhibitors occupying over 11,000 booths, and over 150,000 manufacturers, buyers, and industry representatives.
Over 40 Lund International and Roll-N-Lock team members attended SEMA 2017. As in year’s past, we found it the ultimate platform for promoting Lund’s family of brands and for introducing new products like Roll-N-Lock’s innovative E-series tonneau covers. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in educational seminars, view product demonstrations, go to special events, and network with people from all over the world.
Roll-N-Lock has exhibited at SEMA consecutively for the last 20 years, showcasing its latest truck bed covers and demonstrating how easy they are to install and operate. Brandon Bernardo, President of Roll-N-Lock said, “Traditionally, we have an international truck at our booth to increase our global visibility and appeal to pick-up truck owners and tonneau cover suppliers outside the U.S,” adding that, “this year, we had a Ford Raptor Ranger on site that our team loaded up with Lund products. We fully wrapped it to grab people’s attention and hold it, even though it didn’t need much help – it’s a beast of a truck.”
The booth also featured an on-site garage named the Lund International Custom Shop, which demonstrated live installations of our tonneau covers, including the M-Series. Sam’s Garage, the extremely popular TV show on the Velocity Channel (which Roll-N-Lock now sponsors), was there to capture all of the action as Roll-N-Lock team members went through the steps required to put a new truck bed cover on correctly. It was a demo that was both incredibly informative and well received by SEMA attendees.
Equally exciting was the launch of our all-new E-Series electric truck bed covers, the ultimate choice in convenience and security. The E-series tonneau covers were put through a year of field tests, real-world applications, and inspections, to ensure the highest level of quality, versatility, and craftsmanship. We’re confident that they’ll outlast and outperform all other tonneau covers currently on the market.
Our distributors were particularly excited about the E-Series, as it represents a new, high-end, and highly differentiated product they can offer to the owners of premium trucks. The E-Series’ key features include a wireless key fob, a durable commercial motor, compact housing, a low-profile aerodynamic lid, multiple latching positions, and clamp-on installation, to minimize drilling. It’s easy to see why E-Series truck bed covers will be the premium choice of pickup drivers everywhere, especially those who want the ultimate combo of security and convenience.
All in all, it was a big showing for Roll-N-Lock at SEMA. Brandon Bernardo, President of Roll-N-Lock, said of the event, “SEMA is simply second-to-none in terms of generating industry awareness and excitement. We’re always excited to have a presence, and feel this year was one of the most successful to date for Roll-N-Lock. SEMA attendees expect to see the latest and most innovative offerings, and with products like the new E-Series, I feel Roll-N-Lock really delivered.”
